To make Medicine Man Tea use a two gallon (use gallon) stainless steel pot (i.e. not copper or aluminum)(enamel or glass would also work). Make sure that you have a tight fitting lid. If you don't have a two gallon pot, boil the tea bag in half a gallon or so of water and once cooled add the remaining 1 1/2 gallons to the tea before pouring back into bottles. Water: Use two gallons of pure spring water, not filtered, distilled or softened. You can use the same gallon bottles to put the tea into.
Put the water in the pot and put the tea bag in. Put the lid on the pot and bring to a hard rolling boil for six minutes. Turn off the heat and let stand on the stove or counter for 12 hours (not in the refrigerator). It doesn't have to be a full 12 hours but can be even longer such as 18 hours. The important thing is that it sits for at least 6-8 hours. Before bottling, heat the tea up to above room temperature. Then pour into sterile bottles and put the tops on. As it cools, it will slightly seal the bottles. Refrigerate, the bottom shelf is best.
Dosage:
Will last 6 weeks at the high therapeutic amount and 12 weeks at the normal dosage. Take 2 ounces three (3) times daily, starting when you first wake up, before lunch and before supper. Do this for the first batch of 2 gallons. For the second and later batches, reduce the amount to 1 ounce three (3) times daily. (You can continue to use 2 ounces per serving for higher therapeutic dosages). Once you are well, reduce further to one (1) ounce twice (2) a day for a number of months to help your body recover. This tea can be used indefinitely to support and maintain great health and prevent illness. Do not drink directly out of the containers but pour into a shot glass or measuring cup.
Misc:
Occasionally the tea bag will burst as it swells during the boiling. Here's what to do: After the tea settles to the bottom, pour off the top into cheesecloth or something similar. You can even keep the tea in, although it will be a little gritty. The tea may be light and mild tasting but it's very potent.
