Crystal Manna Flakes (Blue-Green Algae, Fresh Dried) is a premium blue-green algae dried just after harvest in a window refractive dryer preserving the integrity of the algae. Crystal Manna is 100% pure Fresh Driedâ„¢ Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (AFA), one of nature's most perfect foods. This unique blue-green algae grows wild in the spring-fed pristine waters of Upper Klamath Lake, Oregon. AFA is an exceptional source of health-promoting phytochemicals, such as phycocyanin, a natural COX-2 inhibitor; omega-3, one of the most important of the essential fatty acids; phenylethylamine (PEA), which enhances attention and elevates mood; and polysaccharides, which stimulate the immune system. This blue-green algae, AFA has many therapeutic and health-promoting properties. Cacao Beans also have PEA in them, this partly explains the bliss effects associated with consuming cacao. Blue Manna is a concentrated extract of the blue pigment with even higher levels of PEA.
